At Shepherd of the Hills - People come to BELIEVE. Lutheran Christians, and Christians of other traditions, come together to worship God, to read and study the Bible, and to grow in faith. Here, those with no faith background come to seek God, to encounter Jesus Christ, and to experience the power of the Holy Spirit. All are welcome! Here, people come to believe. People feel they BELONG. We care for one another, for those around us, and for all of God's creation. Our deep sense of God's love and faithfulness to us through Jesus Christ is reflected in our love and faithfulness to others. We celebrate each other's joys and bear one another's sorrows. Whether you're a family of one or a family of twenty-one, or anything in between, the Christian fellowship we share makes us a family of faith. Here, people feel they belong. People seek to BECOME. We live our discipleship by loving and serving God and our neighbor. We do so not because we have to, but because we want to - in response to all that God has done for us. Our lives are ever changing because God is always acting to help us become more than we already are. Here, people seek to become. People feel free to simply COME AND BE. |
