Welcome to Shepherd of the Hills – Come and Be!
Come and be the person of faith you are because you believe. Come and be in Christian relationship with others because you belong. Come and be the person God is calling and shaping you to be because here you can become.

At Shepherd of the Hills -

People come to BELIEVE.
Lutheran Christians, and Christians of other traditions, come together to worship God, to read and study the Bible, and to grow in faith. Here, those with no faith background come to seek God, to encounter Jesus Christ, and to experience the power of the Holy Spirit. All are welcome! Here, people come to believe.

People feel they BELONG. We care for one another, for those around us, and for all of God's creation. Our deep sense of God's love and faithfulness to us through Jesus Christ is reflected in our love and faithfulness to others. We celebrate each other's joys and bear one another's sorrows. Whether you're a family of one or a family of twenty-one, or anything in between, the Christian fellowship we share makes us a family of faith. Here, people feel they belong.

People seek to BECOME. We live our discipleship by loving and serving God and our neighbor. We do so not because we have to, but because we want to - in response to all that God has done for us. Our lives are ever changing because God is always acting to help us become more than we already are. Here, people seek to become.

People feel free to simply COME AND BE.

The church is not a building where people go to pray,
It’s not made out of sticks and stones;
it’s not made out of clay.
We are the church, the body of our Lord.
We are all God’s children, we have been restored.
